Uttrakhand Char Dham Yatra


Days 8 - Nights 7

 

Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar

Arrive in Haridwar and check into your hotel. Visit Har Ki Pauri to witness the spectacular evening Ganga Aarti. Explore nearby temples like Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 2: Haridwar to Yamunotri

After an early breakfast, drive to Yamunotri (approx. 6-7 hours). On arrival, trek about 6 km uphill to visit the Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Take a holy dip in the hot springs nearby. Return and stay overnight at a guesthouse in Janki Chatti or nearby.

Day 3: Yamunotri to Gangotri

Drive to Gangotri (approx. 4-5 hours). Visit the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga. Enjoy the serene Himalayan surroundings and views of the Gaumukh Glacier, the origin of the Ganges River. Overnight stay in Gangotri or nearby.

Day 4: Gangotri to Uttarkashi

Depart Gangotri and drive to Uttarkashi for overnight stay. En route, you may visit nearby temples or relax and enjoy the scenic beauty.

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Kedarnath

Drive from Uttarkashi to Kedarnath area (approx. 8-10 hours), or take a helicopter if preferred. Upon arrival, trek about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overnight stay in Kedarnath or nearby.

Day 6: Kedarnath to Badrinath

After morning prayers, descend and drive to Badrinath (approx. 8 hours). Visit the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Explore nearby attractions such as Tapt Kund hot springs and Narad Kund. Overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 7: Badrinath to Rishikesh

Depart Badrinath and drive to Rishikesh (approx. 7-8 hours). In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan Ashram and enjoy the spiritual vibes. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

Day 8: Rishikesh to Haridwar – Departure

Drive to Haridwar or directly to the airport/railway station for your onward journey.
