Day 1: Arrival in Alleppey – Check-in to Houseboat
Arrive at Alleppey (Alappuzha), known as the "Venice of the East", and board your private houseboat around noon. Settle into your cozy floating home, complete with a bedroom, living area, deck, and onboard kitchen. The boat begins to glide through the serene backwater canals, past lush green paddy fields, coconut palms, and charming local villages. Enjoy freshly prepared Kerala-style lunch on board, featuring fish curry, vegetables, and rice. In the evening, relax on the deck and take in the beautiful sunset. The houseboat will anchor for the night by a peaceful village. Dinner and overnight stay onboard.
Day 2: Explore Local Life – Village Walk or Canoe Ride (Optional)
Wake up to the sounds of chirping birds and lapping waters. After breakfast, you can either:
Continue the houseboat cruise, discovering smaller canals and observing daily village life, or
Choose a guided village walk or canoe ride (optional) to explore the backwaters more intimately.
Disembark by late morning (around 9:00 AM) and check into a nearby resort in Alleppey or Kumarakom for a relaxing stay. Spend the afternoon at leisure — enjoy a swim, Ayurvedic massage, or take a stroll along the lakeside. Overnight stay in the resort.
Day 3: Departure from Alleppey or Kochi
After breakfast, check out from your resort. Depending on your departure plan, you can:
Head to Kochi (Cochin) Airport or railway station (approx. 1.5–2 hours’ drive), or
Stop by Marari Beach (if time permits) for a peaceful walk before leaving.
Your backwater tour ends with peaceful memories of Kerala’s natural beauty and hospitality.
