Jammu Vaishno Devi – Shiv Khori Tour

Days 3-Nights 2

 

Day 1: Arrival in Katra – Vaishno Devi Yatra

Arrive at Katra, the base town for the Vaishno Devi Temple. Check into your hotel and rest briefly before beginning the sacred 13 km trek to the Vaishno Devi Bhawan, located in the Trikuta Hills. You may choose to walk or take a pony, palki, battery car, or helicopter ride (subject to availability). After darshan, those who can manage may visit Bhairavnath Temple, 2 km further uphill. Return to Katra by late evening or early the next morning. Overnight stay in Katra.

Day 2: Katra to Shiv Khori Cave Temple Excursion

After breakfast and rest, check out from the hotel and drive to Shiv Khori, located about 80 km from Katra (approx. 2.5–3 hours by road). Shiv Khori is a naturally formed 200-meter-long cave dedicated to Lord Shiva, where a naturally formed Shivling is worshipped. Upon arrival, you will need to trek around 3 kilometers from the base to reach the cave. The cave is filled with spiritual energy and beautiful rock formations. After darshan and exploration, return to Katra or Jammu in the evening. Overnight stay in Katra or Jammu, based on your travel preference.

Day 3: Local Sightseeing in Jammu – Departure

If you're staying in Jammu, use this day for some quick local sightseeing before your return journey. You can visit the Raghunath Temple, Bahu Fort, and the Bagh-e-Bahu Garden, or shop at Raghunath Bazaar for dry fruits and local handicrafts. Finally, transfer to Jammu Railway Station or Jammu Airport for your return.
