Days 2 - Night 1

 

Day 1: Arrival in Jammu – Sightseeing and Spiritual Visit

Arrive in Jammu by train or flight and check into your hotel. After freshening up, begin your day with a visit to the iconic Raghunath Temple, one of the largest temple complexes in North India. Next, explore the ancient Ranbireshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Later in the afternoon, visit the historic Bahu Fort, which offers panoramic views of the Tawi River and houses the revered Bawe Wali Mata Temple. Take a stroll through the beautifully maintained Bagh-e-Bahu Garden located near the fort. In the evening, you can explore the vibrant Raghunath Bazaar for local shopping and enjoy authentic Dogri cuisine at a local restaurant. Stay overnight in Jammu.

Day 2: Optional Visit to Katra or Local Heritage – Departure

After an early breakfast, you have two options. If you wish to visit the Vaishno Devi Temple, leave early for Katra, which is about 1.5 hours away. You can either begin the trek or take a short helicopter ride for a quick darshan, depending on your schedule. Alternatively, if you prefer a relaxed day in Jammu, visit the Amar Mahal Palace Museum and Mubarak Mandi Palace, both offering insights into the region’s royal heritage and architecture. By afternoon or evening, return to the hotel, check out, and proceed to the airport or railway station for your departure.
